3/30/10 I have seperated 6 instruments out of the song by isolating certain pitches and frequencies. The song that I am using is Ratatat's Loud Pipes. I will also use 2 other songs to show the versitility of this visualizer. The tones I have sperated, I have designated as or similar to the lead guitar, rythem guitar, synthesizer, bells, claps, and the bass. The bass is of course the most dominent and the list decends from the bass as most dominent to lead guitar as least dominant sounds. Below are the channels that I have isolated and will be using. I will soon include a video of the waves playing back on individual lines that will be aligned with the music so that they frequencies can be heard and seen apart from one another.

Smoke is somthing that I deffinently want included in this visualizer. Below is the movement of smoke emitted to the bass sounds. I am fairly satisfied with the movement but I do need to look at it in high-rez and tweak some things from there. Also I probably need to turn the density down and add a bit of noise but some of that can be done later in the shader. In the video there are some particles I was playing with to get a feel of a type of "dance of elements" to block in an overall look. I have decided that I also want to include somthing similar to astroids colliding perhaps to one of the spcific tones and then have them eventually merge back together only to be smashed apart again. This would be a good technical effect to highlight on.
