The below video is a preview of everything together, the smoke, the streamers, the orbs, and the glass spheres. There are two video, one above the other, because the first one is the preview of smoke with iso-surfaces and the video below that is the fluid smoke. They are rendered at every 6 frames in in 6 frame steps, that is why they appear to scrub along. The lower video stops about one third of the way through because the fluid smoke was did not render as quickly as the iso smoke.
I have been struggling with getting a high quality looking smoke while keeping renders below 2 Hours. The iso smoke renders between 45min and an hour. I think with a few more iso-surfaces to fill the area I can get a similar look to the fluid smoke and keep a lower render time. I'm not much of a compositor and I am not exactly sure how I could render the smoke out in passes and still keep the same lighting effects that are spilling off the other objects especially since the objects are moving in and out of the smoke. I am anticipating that rendering is going to be a long and tedious process.
